Founder and CEO of Mobility Workshop, Corinna Nelson is certified and NCCA-accredited personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports medicine (NASM) and National Council on Strength (NCSF).
Corinna earned a dual bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and German at Tennessee Technological University. After being a Sr. PDM engineer and project manager for many years, she put to use her project management skills, critical thinking, and creative vitality to pursue her passions and talent for improving lives through fitness.
Initially inspired by the positive effects of consistent exercise in her own life, as a trainer Corinna’s career has been heavily shaped by her early experience working with a dear friend and long-time client. At 83 years old, her client was sedentary and after working with him consistently 8 months, he was able get rid of the walker and use a cane. He suffered a stroke, later, but was able to recover 90% function on his left side after another year of exercise. He gave her work as a personal trainer eye-opening perspective and taught her the critical importance of movement at any stage in life.
Corinna strongly believes in just such a creative approach to fitness whose benefits, from restored movement to renewed confidence, apply to people of every age. Her training is tailored to each client’s needs, limitations, and goals using a variety of techniques, from massage therapy to strength training. Corinna has a passion for helping people to achieve their best selves, and she has created Mobility Workshop as the ideal platform to engage every client’s fitness goal.
